Birdfest Keynote - A Thousand Blended Notes: A Life of Birds and Poems. 

Poet and birder Derek Sheffield will give a presentation on the unique and ancient connection that exists between poets and birds. This talk will combine personal observations with more general ones and include poems by Sheffield in addition to those by other contemporary poets such as Mary Oliver, Eamon Grennan, Drew Lanham, Naomi Shihab Nye, Gary Snyder, Jan Wallace, and Pattiann Rogers.

The keynote will be held in the Red Barn at Wenatchee River Institute. This free event is supported by A Book For All Seasons
